Laura Prochnow Phillips is the founder and owner of Evolve Integrative Health Coaching LLC. She is an Integrative Health Coach, a graduate of the Integrative Health Coaching Professional Training program and a candidate in the advanced Certification Program at Duke Integrative Medicine, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and a Master’s degree from The George Washington University. Laura is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the ICF’s Raleigh area chapter.
In her role as a health, wellness and lifestyle coach, Laura is a warm, sympathetic, and respectful listener, and she is deeply committed to providing integrative health coaching of the highest standard. She collaborates with her clients to carefully craft and successfully implement their personalized health and wellness plans. Laura lives what she preaches, and she has come through her own struggles with health and wellness. She knows deep down exactly how much hard work and courage is necessary to change what isn’t working and how deeply rewarding and fulfilling those positive changes can be, every single day. She understands the complex, jam-packed, sometimes exhausting lives of women at midlife first-hand, and she has the training and personal experience to help each of her clients achieve their health, wellness, and lifestyle goals as she defines them.
Laura has a particular interest in mindfulness meditation and stress reduction, as outlined in the internationally renowned program developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, founding director of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Laura offers guided meditations as part of her health coaching sessions to assist clients in rooting their attention to the present moment and in reducing stress and anxiety. She is also trained in mindful self-compassion techniques by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness.
Laura is also interested in incorporating creativity as part of a healthy, happy lifestyle. Laura has worked with artists of all stripes—writers and actors, painters and musicians, crafters and architects, full-time and part-time, deeply blocked and endlessly productive. She believes that free-flowing creativity requires a healthy lifestyle, and one cannot be truly healthy without a creative outlet. Laura enjoys writing on both professional and personal topics, including for her blog, and she has found it to be an important tool in her own stress management, among many other health benefits.See what Laura can do for you →
